It's been a while between dances for the EnviroNZ Bulls latest signing. Uani Talagi joins the roster for the Bulls first ever home season. Talagi Trialed for the Bullsthis year simply to see if he could still cut it at the NBL level... to his surprise (or maybe not) he made the cut. Now Talagi will help lead the Bulls this season and provide some much needed experience to a young roster.
A quick google and you'll find Talagi amongst some of the Giants of New Zealand NBL basketball. The forward played in the NBL for the Pistons in 2009, who went 14-2 in the regular season and then went onto beat Nelson in the Grand final. Talagi, along with Jett Thompson, are the only Bulls who have been part of an NZNBL championship squad and Talagi's experience is something that the Bulls were keen to add.
"I've known Uani for a while. He's always been one of the hardest workers on the court and off the court. His leadership in our squad is massively valuable and we are excited to have him help lead us this year." Says Head Coach Jamie Reddish.
"He's already proving to be a popular teammate. he leads by example and just does his job incredibly well. We are excited for Uani to be able to play for the EnviroNZ Bulls this season". Adds Reddish.
Uani will be part of the Roster for the 2021 season. For tickets - click here!
