Harrison (Harry) Kelso joins the Franklin Bulls for his second rookie year after a tremendous Secondary School Nationals session with Pukekohe High School.
At just seventeen, Harry Kelso is poised to join the Franklin Bulls' wider squad rotation, showcasing significant growth in his game under the expert guidance of Coach Sebastian Gleim, Franklin Basketball Representative, and the Pukekohe High School Coaching Staff.
During the BBNZ Secondary School Nationals last October, Harry played a pivotal role in leading Pukekohe High School's Premiere Senior boys team to their second-ever Nationals appearance. Averaging 18 points, 1 block, 2.4 steals, and 6 assists 9 rebounds per game at the AA competition.
"Harry's commitment to basketball has been high from a young age. He strives to be the best he can be and brings people along with him on that journey. While not often very vocal, his actions allow him to be a tremendous leader in every team he's involved in. Harry has played a key role for the last two years in helping the Pukekohe High Premier team getting to nationals. With a lot of potential we are excited for when the opportunity arises at the next level." Says Franklin Bulls General Manager and Pukekohe High School Basketball Head of Basketball, Jamie Reddish
Harry has been selected to trial for the upcoming NZ U17 Junior Tall Blacks in February for the upcoming 2025-2027 cycle, with Franklin Bulls Assistant Coach, Joe Reddish, recently announced on the coaching staff for this upcoming cycle also.
"Harry is a very focused young man, and being invited to the National Team trials is a significant honour and recognition of his efforts. He is our first DP signing for this season, and his potential to develop further next season through the Franklin program and Bulls team is immense." Says Coach Sebastian Gleim.
