EnviroNZ Franklin Bulls guard Josh Selby will return home to America due to an injury sustained during the Otago Nuggets game last week.
Selby has been unable to train and has been ruled out of playing for the next four to five weeks.
Due to the injury and the desire for Josh to ensure he can recover fully, the team have decided to allow Josh to head home to be with his family.
“We have enjoyed our time with Josh immensely. It’s fair to say that Josh has lived up to his billing with the highest single game score in Bulls history and an MVP calibre season, building. We are sad that this injury has forced Josh and the team to make a tough choice, but we agreed that this is in the best interest of the player and team moving forward. We wish Josh all the best and will continue to support him and follow his journey with great interest.” GM Scott Kelso
