The Franklin Bulls are excited to announce a new partner who will take on Naming Rights for the Bulls finals campaign. We would like to officially welcome, The Jeff Green Foundation, as our playoff naming rights partner.
The team, for the duration of the Final 6 Campaign, will be known as the “Jeff Green Foundation, Franklin Bulls.”
Over the past 2 seasons, the Franklin Bulls have been working with Coach Green on his work in Waikato Country Basketball Association to support pathways for kids from the area, which also includes areas that boarder Franklin. These pathways were realized in 2023 with two spots offered to outstanding guard and Bulls roster player Christian Vano and DP Squad member, Arahi Marsh. Both players moved to Pukekohe with the support of the “Coach Jeff
Green Foundation”.
"The Franklin Bulls were formed to provide pathways to athletes in South Auckland, Franklin, and Waikato, who aspire to play in the NBL. Coach Green's hard work and dedication makes us excited to officially partner with the foundation and establish these pathways for these talented young stars," said GM of Basketball Mika Vukona. "Over the years, Jeff's strong dedication to player development, mentorship, and unwavering support have profoundly impacted numerous players' journeys, some of whom are now competing in this year's SalsNBL Final 6. This partnership with the Jeff Green Foundation provides a proven pathway, and we hope it will help discover more homegrown talent to proudly represent the Franklin Bulls in the future," stated Vukona.
The Bulls campaign opens Thursday night (20 July 2023) at 8.30pm vs the Wellington Saints.
