Sharp shooter and Bulls stalwart Payton Hughes returns to the SalsNBL and the Bulls for the 2024 season.

Hughes spent the past three seasons with the Bulls developing under previous head coaches but this year will take tutelage from Head Coach Sebastian Gleim and the Bulls coaching team.

Hughes is known for his shooting and has been a top scorer throughout Auckland Regional competitions. In his first appearance at the Secondary Schools Nationals with Pukekohe High last season he averaged almost 17 points a game and top scored with 36 points in a game.

Payton is yet another local player from the Franklin Area taking the next step in representing the Bulls at the NBL level. He will no doubt feature in both the NBL and Rapid League competitions throughout the season.
